I missed one pill Thursday night, in my third week, but made it up as soon as i woke up on Friday morning. I also took my pill about 3 hours late on Saturday night, which would have been my last active pill. My boyfriend and I had sex soon after. We used a condom, but it broke. He had already went shortly before we had sex. He went inside of me not knowing the condom broke, but he barely went. What are my chances of getting pregnant?

How many days have you been bleeding?

You are not pregnant if you are having a menstrual period.

You should call your doctor if you have any questions about the birth contol pills which you are taking and concerns about your menstrual period.

Hi, I'm taking loseasonique which gives me a period every 3 months. The doctor said it would be effective after 2 weeks. My boyfriend and I had sex, in which he ejaculated inside Of me it's been a month and half. My breasts are bigger and I've been bleeding the whole time. I think this due to the pill, but I'm still scared. Could I be pregnant. Also I did miss one pill in my 3rd week but doubled up the next day.

I think you should be protected against getting pregnant on the night which you ditched the condom.

I say this because, you have taken your daily birth control except for the one day of starting the next pack late. Even then, you made up for the missed or late dose, just as directed.

I would be very cautious about taking Plan B if you only think you missed a day of taking your pill and also had intercourse on that day.

Plan B contains the same synthetic reproductive hormones that are found in most birth control pills, but at a higher dose. It could be risky to take an additional and high dose of this hormone, if you are not certain that you actually missed a dose.

Talk to your gynecologist about this. I do not want to give you incorrect information which can potentially cause you harm.

I always take my pill around the same time at night and I never take the inactive pills, but after my last period I was a day late on getting my new pack of pills so on monday night I took sunday's pill in addition to monday's. So the following Sunday (the week after missing my pill) my bf and I drunkenly ditched the condom in our sexcapades, leaving me worried. If I've been good about not missing any pills for the last 7 days at least, I should be okay, right? And if need be is it okay to take plan B while still taking the pill if I think I missed a day?

Hi Anonymous,

If you were on your menstrual cycle, it is highly unlikely to get pregnant as you must be ovlating to become pregnant and ovulation occurs approximately 10 to 16 days after you START your period so you should be fine.

The earliest you can find out if you are pregnant would be to miss a period (your next cycle) wait about a week (just in case you start late) and then try a pregnancy test although, in your case....I don't think you have to worry. Always use a backup method of birth control such as a condom if you miss your pills. You should always use a condom otherwise as nothing carries a 100% guarentee.

Good luck,

Missie

I have a question, and I am in need of advice. I missed one of my birth control pills, completely, and on my last day of my menstrual cycle my boyfriend accidentally ejaculated in me. I need to know what the chances are of me becoming pregnant and when is the soonest I can find out.

The other night, i forgot to take my birthcontrol (loestrin fe) before i went to bed which is the usual time i take it. I remembered in the morning and took it around 10 or 11AM. That night my boyfriend and i had sex and the condom broke. He pulled out but the semen still dripped onto my vagina and possibly inside. What are my chances of getting pregnant? Im freaking out! I took all my birth control after that on time also

Ok I have a question too, I went home for thanksgiving break and forgot to bring my pills so I missed them for 4 days (wed - Sat). The pills I missed were in the second week of my birth control pack. I started my period on Sunday since I missed them. I started taking them again that sunday (I'm a day one starter) and made sure to use condoms if my boyfriend and I had sex. My period only lasted about 3 days since I started the pill again that sunday (they usually last 4-5). We had sex the next Saturday (7 days after starting the pill again). I took it consistently those 7 days. We had sex twice and the second time the condom broke. So he did not ejaculate much. How likely am I to be pregnant. I'm freaking out!

I am on the second week of active pills. So the biginning of my last period was around November 14, 2011. What are my chances of getting pregnant? Should I take the morning after pill for extra protection?
