What are new less invasive ways to have a sub arachnoid excised?

I just found out my subarachnoid cyst has grown back. I had a 7 by5cm excised in(2008) that deviated my brain. My neurological exams were always intact. The neurosurgeon said "I'll excise it and you'll be fine. Had a whopper of a head ache 1 year later (2009) and no signs of a cyst, had a whopper of a h.a. 1 (2010) year later again no signs of a cyst. These incidents were proven on Ct Scan. Just had another whopper of a head ache 4 months ago 2011. Didn't run to get a Ct Scan. "Thought I was fine." The other day I went to the ER, felt off, zapping sensations all over body, periods of dsylexic symptoms and short term memory. Have a 6 by 4 cm in the same spot. Overall my neuro exam is intact, but balance is off. When I wake up to get out of bed I feel like a drunken sailor. Was sent to the neurosurgeon. (No bedside manner). Never directed to go back to the neurologist. Never did an eeg, no blood work. The neurosurgeon looked at me without examining me and said "Better come in next week to book an appt. for 1 night stay to get it drained and have a shunt put in." I asked him a few questions. He answered them without batting an eyelash. "Claimed your cyst was bigge 7 yrs. ago". 7 years ago when I found out it was only quarter size. This particular neurosurgeon didn't tell me anything else, no offer for hope. Said "1-3 months left if I don't do something about it".
Do you think I'm a candidate for endoscopic removal?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  We can't tell you what to do as far as your diagnosis.  If you are still concerned, It would be good to get a second opinion from another neurosurgeon before having any procedure done.

Here is a link that might be helpful, you can find support from others with the same condition.
