Why do i get night sweats AND leg cramps in the shin and calf

64 yrs, RN administrator, moderate excesize. LMP 10 years ago. Moderate night sweats then and then stopped. Night sweats started about 5 yrs ago and increasing intensity. History of osteoarthritis, migraine and ?? TIA ( mini strokes). Otherwise health is good. Afebrile when the sweat has awakened me. Can happen 3-4 times a night, usually 5-7 nights/week. No hypertension. On Atkin's for 6 years. Lost 75 lbs- now about 148 lbs. Low salt diet.

Are you wondering if night sweats and leg cramps are related, or would just like to stop suffering from both?

You mentioned that you have been in menopause for about 10 years, and had night sweats at one time that stopped. Did you use any medication or supplements at that time, or did they stop on their own? You have now been suffering from night sweats for 5 years?

How long have the leg cramps been bothering you? Have you noticed a difference when you exercise that day? How is your water intake?
