Those of us advocating for maternal mental health programs which help raise awareness in our communities about these common disorders understand that education of health care providers is among the most important associated tasks. Without the formation of strong community based referral networks, the encouragement of identification and treatment of these illnesses among every member of a mother's health care team is more challenging. Providers are more likely to assess and identify such illnesses when they feel confident that the therapist receiving the referral has the training and expertise to competently guide and facilitate treatment.
With the pressures that all providers face, it is difficult to escape the office routine to personally attend trainings or educational events that would enhance practice, but technology now provides avenues to learn from your desk! If you know of colleagues or providers who need or seek education about perinatal mood disorders, but don't have time to travel or miss a day of work, OR for those of you interested in acquiring CEU's on the topic of perinatal mood disorders you may be interested in participating in this live audio conference.
Lorman Education Services has invited me to facilitate a 90 minute audio conference on Diagnosing and Treatment Postpartum Mood Disorders on Thursday, August 18th from 1 - 2:30 PM EST (click on flyer above). Lorman is a national audio conferencing company which retains national topic experts to offer online CEU accredited educational experiences to professional providers.
If this is of particular interest to you, colleagues or other employees at your practice or facility, please feel free to forward this message and the discount code I am able to offer my friends and colleagues. The convenience of sitting at your desk and receiving CEU's as opposed to having to travel anywhere, makes learning about perinatal mood disorders more accessible than ever to health care providers who need this information to take care of our mothers and families.
As my guest, you are eligible for 20% off the registration fee.
