Include Adrenal Hormones information on your My EmpowHer page
Sub-Conditions
Hormones are gland secretions that travel through the blood stream to affect various body sites. The outer part (cortex) of the adrenal glands produce three steroid hormones: aldosterone to control fluids and salts, cortisol (a glucocorticoid) and DHEA, a precursor to estrogen and testosterone. The inner part (medulla) of the adrenals produces adrenaline in response to stress.
