Compulsive Exercise

Compulsive exercise involves excessive or strenuous physical activity to the point that is unsafe or unhealthy. Sufferers can feel guilty if they miss an exercise session and may not consider workouts enjoyable. Those involved in sports or dance may focus more on being thin or fit than the activity. Emotional therapy can assist in overcoming this disorder and prevent physical side effects such as joint injuries, bone fractures and arthritis.
