Include Pancreas Hormones information on your My EmpowHer page
The pancreas is a banana-shaped organ attached to the upper part of the intestines. It secretes substances (enzymes) that help digest food and two key hormones, insulin and glucagon, that regulate blood sugar. Problems with insulin production or insulin activity in cells leads to poor blood sugar control and diabetes.
