Michelle: I am Michelle King Robson, the voice of women’s health, and here’s one of my favorite health tips from a leading researcher if you have diabetes. Practice yoga or tai chi.

Dr. Johanna DeStefano with TGen says, “Meditative movement helps increase awareness around hunger and fullness. Women sometimes use food to medicate after a fight with the spouse or a bad day with kids and we may not pay attention to why we are eating.”

So while walking or running may be physical exercise, there may not be the same mind-body benefits that come from meditative movement.

I am Michelle King Robson, the voice of women’s health, and this has been HER Health Minute. And remember, change begins with YOU.
