Carpal Tunnel Syndrome And Repetitive Motion, What Is The Connection? - Dr. Rohde (VIDEO)

Dr. Rohde describes the association between repetitive motion and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Dr. Rohde:
We think now, at least in terms of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, that repetitive motion likely is not the main cause of carpal tunnel syndrome and that it is more likely to be of, of a biological, genetic, and environmental cause rather than the repetitive activity.

There actually was a study done in Sweden within the past year or two in which they looked at people, people’s tendency to have carpal tunnel syndrome and determined that actually the more they typed, the less carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms they had.
