Listen as Glynis shares if she was more scared after diagnosed positive for breast cancer following her breast biopsy.

Glynis:
I was absolutely more scared than I was before when the biopsy came back positive for breast cancer. The reason for that was ignorance, or lack of knowledge. When I say lack of knowledge this is what I mean. I didn’t know whether or not it was spreading throughout my body. I didn’t know with every breath that I took, if another cancerous cell was popping up somewhere else where they were going to find cancer in any other place.

And unfortunately you have to wait. You have to wait until they actually perform a surgery to tell you all the characteristics of your cancer because your treatment is tied to the characteristics of what they find with your cancer. And so, I would say I was looking forward to the day of the surgery because I wanted it out of me. I knew that it was abnormal. I knew that it was dangerous. I knew that it could have been potentially fatal. And everybody talks about the stages of cancer. What stage is it? Did they catch it? Was it pre-cancerous; was it stage1, stage2, 3, 4? And so, all those types of things started running through my mind.
