Janice Taylor, "Our Lady of Weight Loss," shares how she was able to use self hypnosis to assist in the weight loss process.
I realized, one of the other things that I realized is visualization hypnosis. It is such an important part of weight loss is that you see yourself thin, and I didn’t realize what I was doing initially, but almost every night that I was losing weight, I would come home from work and I would take a really hot bath and I would get, I was excited that I was losing weight.
When you’re losing weight, it’s a high. You’re so excited that the fat’s melting. And so I would go in the bathtub and I would take a really hot bath and I would imagine the fat melting, and the wonderful thing about the bathtub is that when you lay back in a bathtub all your fat goes to the back of you. It was the first time I seriously could feel my bones, and it was like incredible, and I got so excited.
I would just visualize it and then nobody comes in, you’re in the bath, you’re alone. It’s a quiet place. Put a lot of bubble bath in there. It’s really a good experience, and I just really got lost in it, and that was self-hypnosis, and I didn’t realize what it was at the time.
