I took both pills in one dosage, is this dangerous or less effective? Also, what are the usual side effects after taking the pills and how soon after? I took the pills about a 17 days ago and now I'm spotting ( not heavy but blood is present). Could this be a side effect?

Hey pls am afraid,i gave my galfriend 2 tablet of postinor2 befor i had sex with her,and about 15 hours time she took another postinor2 ( 2 tablet again) makin it 4 tablet instead of 2,wil she get pregnant ?

It is so important to follow the directions of any medication, including Postinor 2. Why did she take the emergency contraceptive before?
This very strong medication is not intended to be used as birth control, but rather in emergency situations of contraceptive failure.
No, there is no risk that she became pregnant. However, she is at risk for overdosing. By taking the pills as she did, she overdosed and seriously upset the hormonal balance that regulates the menstrual cycle.
Please never do this again.

Thank you for your question. After taking Postinor 2, some women start their next period earlier or later than normal. If you do not have any vaginal bleeding within three weeks, test for pregnancy.

I took the first pill say 3hours after intercourse and was supposed to take the second one 12 hours after but i forgot and took it after 21 hours. Please Maryann, am i save? am really worried.

Did you girlfriend take the missed birth control pills as soon as she realized that she forgot to take them? Were these the first two pills in a new pack or the last two pills of the pack?
General rule of thumb is never have seven consecutive days without the active pills. The active pills contain synthetic hormones to prevent ovulation and cause changes in the uterine lining to prevent pregnancy.
If your girlfriend's period is late by a least seven days, then she should test for pregnancy.
