Billiegirl,

It's been a few days since we've heard from you. I hope you are home and recuperating well. Please come back and give us an update on how you're doing!

Billiegirl, I'm so happy for you!!! That is really fabulous news. I know you will love just getting back home and into your own bed, where people don't wake you up all night to give you meds and take your temperature!

How's the walking going? And the pain, how's the pain?

That is great news! I hope you continue to keep us updated periodically, and let us know if you have any additional questions.

well not exactly, most of it is gone, not all, that is y im still here :( but its better. but right now the infection has kinda just gone up like round my lungs and stuff (which sucks cuz they had to hook me up to this breathing thing earlier bcuz i couldnt breath that really sucked. and now i just have it next to me and i use it when breathing gets hard)
but my doc says i am better anyway, and that tommorrow we can talk again about when i can get out. :)
and because of what happended today i took the anxiety meds it kinda freaked me out when i couldnt breath (tho it was for like 10 seconds, im really just a drama queen)

Billiegirl,

Sweetheart, you are so not a drama queen. Not being able to breathe for even 10 seconds is serious (and, yes, anxiety-producing!) I'm glad you took the medication, because that's what it's for.

Are you still on heavy-duty antibiotics, do you know? I'm very concerned that this infection seems to move so quickly through your body.

It's good to hear that your doctor said you can talk today about when you can go home. I am sure you're very tired of the hospital, especially being poked and prodded all the time.

You are doing GREAT. Keep up the good work, and don't hesitate to take the meds when you need them.

Billiegirl,

Wow. What a lot you've been through. Thanks so much for the newest update.

I hope that from now on out, you only get good news. I know that recovering from a hysterectomy can be pretty painful for a while (and I will try not to make you laugh!), but at least now you should continue to get better instead of continuing to get worse.

I'm so glad you have family there and that they are a comforting presence for you. This whole thing has been so fast and scary that I'm sure that helps in a big way. And your boyfriend has been wonderful through this whole thing.

Don't hesitate to take your pain meds or your anxiety meds. This is what they are for! You seem to be a good judge of what feels best to you so I'll leave it at that, but I agree with those who've said you were brave. You've faced a lot in the last few weeks and sure, you've cratered a few times -- any of us would -- but you have a terrific attitude.

Hang in there, continue to recuperate, and I hope you feel better and better each day. Just getting all the infection out has got to be a relief, yes?

I am so happy to hear that you found an online support group called hystersisters, and are able to connect with other girls your age who are going through the same procedures, concerns and questions.

I think being brave and amazing DOES include being scared at times...it is this "being afraid" and continuing to fight through the uncertainty, discomfort, pain and concern that is the definition of being courageous and brave! Otherwise, if you were not scared, there would be nothing to be "brave" about! :-)

Hope to hear back from you soon!

thank you um "Anonymous" i wish i knew ur name lol) its very nice for you to say im brave and amzing, a lot of people have said that im brave, tho i dont feel like i am, i have melted on a number of occasions during this. tho i have met some trully brave teens at the hospital who are fighting cancer, it amazes me how brave they are whith how much they are facing.
