Lisa:
My primary care physician happened to be an endocrinologist and she suggested I go get an ultrasound on the thyroid. I proceeded to do that. It came back with an extremely large nodule about four centimeters, I think it was, which she said has probably been there for years, 10, 12, 14 years, who knows, to go get a biopsy.

So I then proceeded to get the biopsy and the biopsy came back inconclusive and the only way to tell whether I had thyroid cancer was to have a right side lobectomy to remove the right side of the thyroid.
