Dr. Blackstone:

Bariatric means weight, means large, and it basically refers to people who are large. You know, there’s a lot of terms that we use and obesity itself is a term that covers the whole spectrum of early obesity which is really a Body Mass Index 30 to 34, severe obesity which is called class 1 obesity now, which is 35 to 39; class 2, 40 to 45, and then class 3 is above that.

So, you know, that word, bariatric, refers to people of weight basically.
