Engage with the world around you
Happiness is “a holistic thing that must be nurtured over the generations and is greatly influenced by factors like climate, culture, geography, natural resources and luck,” wrote Christopher Helman of Forbes when reviewing a study of the happiest countries around the world.
Many of these issues of history, government, and environment are out of our control.
However, Helman said that paying attention to our children’s education, voting, and saving money are all actions that help us to become happier citizens.
