Kay-Kayes Shares Her Motivation To Create Pancreatic Cancer Awareness (VIDEO)

Kay-Kayes:

My motivation today is because I just read a statistic that came out for 2007 where it says, they’re identifying more women with pancreatic cancer. When I was diagnosed, it was normal to be a 65-year-old African-American male, and I was only 44 when I was diagnosed.

So at that time it was not, didn’t see, you know, it was rare, but now they’re coming out. Whether it’s that they’re looking at women more which I want to think, since they were looking more at the male population. I think women need to be more in tune and aware of pancreatic cancer than maybe in the past.
