Phoenix Mercury center-forward Kara Braxton shares three helpful tips for working mothers.

Kara Braxton:
If I can give you any tips on how to raise kids when you are away from work, the first tip would be having a supporting staff. My mom helps me out tremendously. When I am not there she makes sure that everything is in line. She makes sure he watches my games; he goes to school, to practice because it’s very important.

Another tip would be I love the method of Skype. Skype has helped me out tremendously. I would talk to him all the time on the computer. He can see me; I could see him; we interact all the time.

The third one I would say we keep him in sports. It keeps him busy. It keeps him organized. It keeps him in touch with me because I am an athlete as well and it just helps out in the long run. If you do these three things it will help raise your children while at work.
