While I apparently was born with a severe heart murmer that I outgrew by the age of 15, and have had level 4 melanoma; I also have an under-active thyroid, and a body that seems to enjoy creating cysts all over the place, as I get older, for no good reason other than to annoy me.....I really have no story to tell about myself. For all of that, I am actually very fortunate that I am a healthy person with a good immune system. It was the birth of my son 31 years ago, who was born without limbs, that taught me that it was alright to question doctors. It was my son's birth that helped me grow as a person. I try to do things as naturally as I can these days, though I have no problem utilizing and realizing the need, and at times importance, of conventional medicine. I just feel better physically when I am using less of the synthetic drugs, foods, etc that we are living with today. I even use essential oils for air freshners. Finding a way to control my thyroid without using Synthroid would be sweet indeed. I'm sure I will one day, but for now, Big Pharma it is to keep my thyroid running properly.
