In 1995 I broke my ankle and it I still have screws in it from the repair. I had my right hip replaced in 2007 and developed a foot drop in my right foot as a result. Could the screws be the reason?

Anon - Foot drop is a sign of an underlying neurological, muscular or anatomical problem. It is sometimes temporary, but it can also be a permanent condition.

Foot drop sounds like a simple name, but diagnosing and treating this condition can be complex. You can learn more about this condition here: http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/1234607-overview
