Hi, I am 26 years old and am irregular with my periods. However I usually get them around the end of the month or beginning of the next. I would say within the first two weeks of the month at the latest.

Anyway, I had my last period 2/9 and ended 2/14. I had sex with my bf several times between the 14th and 20th. After that we still had sex however he would not cum inside me. However once or twice he may have accidently allowed a small amount to get in but I would urinate right after. Is it possible to push all the sperm out by urinating?

It's now 3/18 and no period. My breasts are a little sensitive, however I do not feel fatigue or cramps which I usually get before my period.

I have been stressing and so I took 3 pregnancy tests and they came back positive. Am I definately pregnant? Is it possible that it can show positive bc I am stressing and not really pregnant? How can I tell for sure?

Jenn,
It has been another 3 days since your post, and I'm wondering if your period has started, or if you took another pregnancy test?

There is always a chance of pregnancy when having unprotected sex (not using a condom or hormonal contraception, such as the birth control pill).

A home pregnancy test would be effective at detecting a pregnancy once you have missed your period. I am assuming you are trying to become pregnant, since you are not using any form of birth control and are having unprotected sex on a regular basis? (You didn't mention your circumstances or age).

Hi Diane,

I am 23 married ttc. My last period was 2 months ago. On the day I was expecting my period I spotted but that was it. I usually spot and it gradually turns into a period. However, since that time i have been experiencing an increase of watery/milky discharge up until this very day. Last week when i tested it came back negative. I had a preg scare before so i don't want to rush off to the Dr. just yet. Other preg symptoms are: light cramping, white discharge, heavy breast.

Should i continue testing? what are my probability of being preg? Your response is appreciated!!!

Cristina,

A missed period could certainly be a sign of pregnancy, but could be a sign of something else as well. The symptoms you describe could all be normal parts of your cycle (vaginal discharge, pre-menstrual cramps, sore/heavy breasts), or something else.

This does sound like the time to call your doctor, as you have an unexplained reason that you have missed your period (with negative pregnancy test), assuming this is abnormal for you (you can not recall another time when you did not have a period).

You mentioned that you had a "pregnancy scare", which sounds like you do not want to be pregnant? Are you and your husband using condoms or other form of birth control to prevent an unwanted pregnancy?

i can't find my situation anywhere! so i hope you girls can help me out! i had sex a little over a month ago (july 16th). which would put me right into my ovulation time. i started my period 2 weeks later on july 30th. it didn't seem normal though. it was light for a couple days, got a little heavy then stopped. i would usually last a couple more days, and it always starts out heavy. didn't think too much of it. my next period should be due in about a week, but for the last few days i've been having white creamy discharge, fatigue, mood swings that aren't like me...might be tmi, but felt really nauseated yesterday morning along with diarrhea in the morning and late afternoon. this morning i woke up with a horrible headache and nausea again. i've never had any of these symptoms before AF ever. i read that it's possible to have a "period" while still pregnant...i haven't taken a HPT yet. should i go ahead and take one soon? or wait and see if i miss my period next week. does anyone know of someone thats been in this situation and ended up prego?! i'll probably end up taking one tomorrow anyway, but i'd still like opinions and maybe some similiar stories. thanks! -mandy

Ok, so I had unprotected sex on June 25th got the morning after pill the very next morning... I hot my period about a week after and haven't had sex with that guy since... However my ex and I had been and have been having sex before and after that a few times a week, I started having sore brests and fatigue around when my period was supposed to come, he pulls out but I missed my period in July and two days ago found out I was pregnant. Is there a chance the pill didn't work, cuz I want to be sure it's my ex's baby

Anon, since you had your period since you had sex with the other man, then no, it could not be his baby. Your pregnancy would have happened after that period, and if you have only been with your boyfriend since then, then yes, it would have to be his baby.

The morning-after pill is not 100% effective, but its failure rate is quite low -- about 10 percent, and even lower than that when you do as you did, by taking it the very next morning.

As long as your period was a full period (and not just spotting), then you would not be pregnant from that time.

Have you seen a doctor? DId they give you a due date from examining you?
