I had my period that finished last week and 2 days later I have sore breasts, back pain, heart burn, feeling tired and can smell things more .Can I still be pregnant and thought I had a period but it wasn't ? I have a 1 year old who when I carried him from finding out till I had him 7 months I bled every time I went to the loo they said my placenta was low . What do I do? Shall I take a test or wait a while? Or could it be something else?

How long does your period normally last? Was the flow like your normal period?
If so, then you are not pregnant. Speak with your physician if you continue to have cramping and lower back pain.

My period was due on Aug 3rd, but never came until the 26th(I am usually on time- a 28 day cycle, and last for 5 days) it is now the 8th day and I'm still bleeding. Could it be something serious? I have cramping every now and then with really bad lower backache.

May I ask how old you are? Changes in the menstrual cycle, from length of the cycle to flow, are an early sign of perimenopause.
Have you ever been diagnosed with uterine fibroid? Uterine fibroids can cause a heavy period flow.

I am 42, my period is never heavy. I can wear one pad the entire day for the amount of bleeding I have. I have never been diagnosed with uterine Fibroid, and the flow was the same as always. It just lasted so long. It decided to stop today which would have made it about 14 days

This can be a sign of early perimenopause. Some women will begin in their 40s. As estrogen levels fluctuate, changes in the menstrual cycle develop.
You can always speak with your gynecologist.
