Vanessa describes her recovery from gastric bypass surgery.

Vanessa:
Recovery after the surgery was not that hard just because you are at a hospital and there’s people to take care of you. I think the real recovery starts when you go home, and you have to take care of yourself, and you have to just follow the guidelines that they give you. It wasn’t that easy for me just because, I don’t know, I just, me and food had a connection. So to know that that wasn’t there anymore, it kind of hurt me, but at the same time I know, what I did, I needed to do.

But as far as like in the hospital it was just fine. I mean, of course, just like any surgery, it was painful, but, I mean, once I left I think is when the real deal began.
