Kathy:

It took about two months for me to be able to get back to work and start feeling like I was a part of the world again. I felt very disoriented; depression set in for a while. I had a girlfriend come over and help me work through some of the things that I needed to do. Learning to eat properly and eat the right foods, getting out of bed and getting up off the couch and moving again was tough.

But then, after about two months I started into rehab, and you start to feel like you’re really part of the world again because you almost feel like you’re isolated from everything, but getting back to work helps. I went back part-time and rehabbed as much as I could which I think is extremely important.
