Kathy:

My heart condition has changed my life only in that I am more aware of things that could affect my health. I am a little more careful, I am a little more cautious about the way I drive and the way I see things and being aware of where I am and who is around, and it just made me a little more cautious and I am not sure why it affected me that way, but I think you start to realize that you’re not going to live forever and you need to make some adjustments as you get a little older.

I know heart disease could happen to young women as well as older women, but just becoming more aware of the health issues, getting checked out, making sure your doctor’s aware of how you’re feeling and what you’re doing and just eating right and taking your medication and getting your exercise.
