Natalie describes what a woman who pulls her hair can expect when she visits Hairdoctk.
Natalie:
TK's salon is very private. It’s one-on-one. It’s very natural, so everything she uses is pH balanced and not a lot of chemicals, stay away from those. She will talk to you and try to find out your story because everyone’s story, especially with trichotillomania, is different. We all share similarities, but with TK, she is going to try to get to the bottom of why you pull, what makes you pull, and then she has a lot of resources to draw from, so she will give you all the advice she can give you about your situation.
And then, it’s all very private and very comfortable atmosphere that someone like me, I did not have to be afraid to go in and talk to her about it, and she is very understanding and says that, "You know, everybody has something that is their issue and it’s not something to be ashamed of at all," and she has her own issues that she will be very open with also and explaining, "Well, this is what I do. This is the experience I had, and then one of my other clients, they had this experience and maybe that, have you tried that," and she'll be very honest and open and willing to work with you about your specific situation.
