Sarah explains if she has participated in multiple sclerosis clinical trials.
Sarah:
I am in observational studies where I answer questions, questionnaires periodically throughout the year. I have not been in a clinical trial, like a drug trial. I just have not qualified for them. That’s a personal issue with me because I believe strongly in clinical trials.
Clinical trials are the only way for us to find new medications. Personally, I don’t like that they ask you to come off the drug that you are on a lot of times because you wouldn’t ask a cancer patient to come off their drug if it’s working or something…but that’s a side issue, but clinical trials are very important, and if there is one that I would qualify for, I wouldn’t hesitate to enroll.
