Sarah explains why she is sensitive to heat.
Sarah:
No, MS itself, a lot of people with MS are sensitive to the heat. Heat slows down the signals from your brain to the rest of your body, and so your MS symptoms get worse in the heat. When you go back in the air conditioning and cool off, they go away. But if I get overheated, my vision might get blurry, my thinking might get slower, my cognitive issues will become more apparent. I may get vertigo or my legs, I just get weak. So I just try to manage that the best I can.
