In this edition of EmpowHER's "HER Daily Dose" Bailey Mosier reminds you to celebrate all the women in your life this week for National Women's Health Week.

Hi, I’m Bailey Mosier. This is your EmpowHER HER Daily Dose.
There are so many women who give so much and ask for nothing in return. Don’t you think it’s time we celebrate them?

The 13th annual National Women’s Health Week begins this Mother’s Day, May 13, 2012 and lasts through May 19. This year’s campaign is “It’s Your Time” and urges women to make their health a top priority.

The week also serves as a reminder for women to:

•Get regular checkups and preventative screenings

•Get active
•Eat healthy
•Get plenty of sleep and manage stress
•Avoid unhealthy behaviors such as excessive alcohol intake and smoking

Anyone who wants to promote women’s health can celebrate. National Women’s Checkup Day is Monday, May 14, 2012 so go out and get your routine checkups and encourage others to do the same.

We all have a responsibility to help the women in our lives take better care of themselves so they can lead longer, healthier and happier lives.

That wraps up your EmpowHER HER Daily Dose. Join me here at EmpowHER.com every weekday for your next dose of women’s health.
