had ankle broken/three bones, titituim plate and 9 screws to repair, 4 mos. now, P.T. 4 times, doing orthepedic recommended exercises/ still pain/swelling/ normal ?

You need to consult your orthopedic surgeon about the pain and swelling. It could be the exercises that are contributing to the pain and swelling, or damage to the lymphatic system or vasculature in the area of injury, I don't know.
I think you need to be evaluated by your surgeon.
