A friend of mine has some symptoms of sore limbs and I wanted to see if anyone knew what this could be. Her symptoms are legs go numb above the knees anytime she stands or walks for more than 15 minutes. Her limbs are always sore anyhow although she doesn’t exercise. She has seen her physician about this and they placed electric pulsed needles (the tens test) in her and no results, or should I say no answers. She is 61 years old but has suffered the symptoms for over 20 years with no answers. Can anyone share any stories or ideas about this? Thanks.

It sounds more like high inflammatory condition or fybromialgia. In other words, inflammation at the cellular level which may be linked to poor diet, mineral deficiency, lack of exercise and poor hydration. Is she overweight? What do you know about her nutrition patterns? The symptoms of numbness could be nerve related but sources of pain are numerous. I think we need more information to be able to help her.

The first thing I thought of was diabetes, with poor circulation, but you said her symptoms are "above the knees" and not below. However, you mentioned that her limbs are always sore. Does she have any other symptoms? How is the circulation in her hands and feet?
