Hip Replacement Recovery: What Does This Entail?

Bobette describes what recovering from hip replacement surgery entails and discusses how this procedure changed her life.

Bobette:
The recovery takes about six weeks and during those six weeks there are certain restrictions, the bending restrictions. You have to sit at a 90° angle and you have to sleep in certain positions and once those passed, after that six weeks and my x-ray everything looked great and Dr. McFerran said, “You are free to drive. You are free to do whatever you feel like doing,”

So, in comparison to where I was six to eight weeks before that it was like night and day. What was painful and almost impossible for me to do was now becoming easier and easier as I healed and became more confident in what I could do.
