Post Knee Replacement: Did You Like In-Home Physical Therapy?

Bonnie shares her experience with in-home physical therapy following her knee replacement surgery at Banner Boswell Medical Center.

Bonnie:
When I came home from the hospital a physical therapist came and did the interview, gave me a few exercises to do, and then came back on Monday and started physical therapy. It was such a relief to have someone come to the home so that you didn’t have to go out in the car which is difficult to do, to get in the car, and to work with things that you have at the home so that there’s nothing really special that you do. You have the pillows and exercises and hold on to the counter and what not, but it was such a relief not to have to leave the house for two weeks.

The physical therapist that I had was excellent. She was the best and I really, really feel that she was a large key to the recovery process, the two weeks that we had together, and she pushed, but if I couldn’t do something then it was, “Well, let’s not do that but let’s try it this way.”
