Tennis

A game of tennis, particularly a singles match, is great calorie burning exercise. One hour of playing tennis burns between 580 to 872 calories. It is a sport which has you twisting, lunging and reaching all the time. You will not only build strength and flexibility, but stimulate your mind as you focus on the game.

The numbers for running are grossly overstated. Running 1 mile burns closer to 100 calories, not 1,000!
