Dr. Kogan:
I have founded Longevity Institute at Doctors at Trump Place, and this is where we practice holistic medicine. I am a classically trained M.D. with all the territory that comes with it. I am very good at prescribing medications like most of us who are classically trained, but I have also expanded my horizons tremendously by espousing naturopathic ways of dealing with a disease, holistic approaches to human health, and some of this philosophy I am hoping to share with you today.
Holistic medicine is a new wave, so to speak, in the world of medicine. It envisions a human being as not just a collection of separate organs and symptoms, but rather as a whole human being; a human being that goes through experiences during the day, that has a family, that has forces outside of work and at work that impact their life.
So many, many different things about this human being get accounted for, are taken into consideration when we are looking for a diagnosis and for a treatment.
