As EmpowHer's Director of News & Media I get to do all the content interviews. It's a great job and luckily I pay attention while at work.
One day when I was interviewing the nation's leading heart doctors, I realized I had every symptom they were describing. A few days later a cardiologist told me if I hadn't come in to get checked, I'd have a severely weakened heart in 3 years. In September I had a cathedral ablation to correct my issue and my latest EKG came back perfect. That's EmpowHer!

MY FIRST TIME ADVOCATING FOR OTHERS
My grandparents were married for 62 years and were like parents to me. I was very close to them. Three years ago my grandmother passed away on a Thursday morning and I spent the following two nights sleeping next to my grandfather in bed. Until the moment he went into cardiac arrest while laying next to me, I had never advocated for anyone’s health before. For answers I had no place to turn; accept the internet.
I’ve got mostly women in my life. My work is dedicated to them and all the other women who keep us health, happy and alive.
